Job Overview: Key Responsibilities and Duties As an Elementary Parental Involvement Assistant and Migrant Liaison Clerk, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties that are crucial to the success of our students and the effectiveness of our educational programs. Your primary responsibilities will include: Identifying and recruiting migrant students and maintaining accurate records of their eligibility and identification forms. Processing and inputting migrant data into the New Generation System (NGS) and ensuring compliance with federal program guidelines. Maintaining daily logs and records of migrant students, including their academic progress and any relevant information. Collaborating with school staff, parents, and community organizations to promote parental involvement and student success. Serving as a liaison between the school and migrant families, providing interpretation and translation services as needed. Planning and facilitating parent meetings, training sessions, and volunteer programs to foster a sense of community and promote educational excellence. Assisting with the implementation of district programs, such as Project Gateway and the volunteer program. Maintaining accurate records and reports, including migrant counts, student data, and program evaluations. Qualifications and Requirements: What We're Looking For To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent (GED). TEA certification requirements (as applicable). Proficiency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal). A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle. Knowledge of the New Generation System (NGS) and migrant education programs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and maintain emotional control under stress. In addition to these essential qualifications, we prefer candidates with: Experience working in educational settings or with migrant populations. Knowledge of federal program guidelines and compliance requirements. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
