As a Director of Business Development at blithequark, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact and invest in your growth within a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative environment. **About the Role** We are seeking an experienced Director of Business Development to lead the qualification of new customers, develop strategic relationships, and drive business growth within our Industrial Business Unit. Reporting to our VP of Account Management, you will be responsible for achieving pipeline and bookings results according to assigned targets, both individually and as part of a high-performing team. As a key member of our Business Development Team, you will be expected to: * Develop new strategic alliances with key customers, aligning blithequark resources with their business strategies and future plans to drive mutually beneficial growth. * Communicate, liaise, and negotiate with internal stakeholders and external customers to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships. * Research and analyze customers' business strategies, product plans, and expansion activities to identify opportunities for growth and collaboration. * Present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions to drive business development and aid in the execution of customer solutions. * Collaborate with the Business Development Team and Finance Department to control budgets and ensure effective resource allocation. * Assist current accounts in the development and execution of product roadmaps, acting as a focal point in delivering blithequark's comprehensive solutions, including concept development, industrial design, manufacturing, supply chain/logistics, and services. * Represent blithequark's Ways of Working when interacting with internal and external contacts, embodying the company's values and culture. **Essential Qualifications** To succeed in this role, you will need: * A Bachelor's degree in engineering, sciences, or business, providing a solid foundation for understanding the complexities of industrial business. * Typically 7 years of progressively advancing account management and/or business development experience, with a proven track record of driving growth and developing strategic relationships. * The ability to work effectively with internal teams, executive management, and external customers to maximize mutual benefit and drive business outcomes. * Experience in the EMS/CMO/engineering business environment, with a deep understanding of the industry's nuances and challenges. * Knowledge of Strategic Selling techniques, enabling you to navigate complex sales processes and develop effective sales strategies. * Understanding of key financial metrics, including the ability to read P&L, balance sheets, and ROI indicators, and take actions to meet customers' needs and blithequark targets. * The ability to successfully influence senior-level management, executives, and key clients, leveraging your expertise and building strong relationships. **Preferred Qualifications** While not essential, the following experiences will be highly valued: * Experience in business development within EMS or other Contract Manufacturing, providing a deep understanding of the industry's specific challenges and opportunities. * Experience within Industrial customer focus, with a proven track record of driving growth and developing strategic relationships within this sector. **What We Offer** At blithequark, we recognize and reward our employees' hard work and dedication.
