Data Engineer - Early Career

They are seeking an Early Career Data Engineer to perform analysis and data trending for aircraft systems, create algorithms for identifying part failures, and enhance system reliability through data analysis and visualization. Responsibilities Perform analysis and data trending for aircraft systems Create algorithms to find patterns in historical part removals and project impending part failures Conduct root cause investigations and support corrective action planning to enhance system reliability Evaluate conceptual and advanced designs for reliability performance and recommend improvements to optimize design efficiency Analyze supplier repair data and aircraft field data to calculate, track, and present aircraft performance metrics Create clear, compelling data visualizations to communicate trends and support engineering decisions Identify and recommend process improvements that increase team effectiveness and streamline analysis workflows Skills Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or aeronautical engineering Coursework in Python, Time Series Data, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Correlation and Verification, and Interpretable Artificial Intelligence Experience in manipulation/analysis of data in spreadsheets (MS Excel Formulas, Pivot Tables, and/or VBA) Experience in formal presentation development, PowerPoint construct and delivery, and working in a team environment Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance Strong math background, with emphasis on statistical data analysis Ability to perform detail-oriented work with a high degree of accuracy and quick delivery Ability to apply statistical methods to analyze time series data including design of experiments, regression analysis, and hypothesis testing Ability to develop and implement statistical models to predict outcomes of time series data Experience using Python Experience with Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Electrical Engineering or a STEM discipline Experience in using databases and/or visualizations (MS Access, HANA, Tableau, or SQL/Oracle) Benefits Medical Dental Vision Life Insurance Short-Term Disability Long-Term Disability 401(k) match Flexible Spending Accounts EAP Education Assistance Parental Leave Paid time off Holidays Company Overview Lockheed Martin is a global security and aerospace company that specializes in advanced technology systems, products, and services.
