Role Overview We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our Data Analysis and Engineering team. This role will primarily support the marketing and public relations department in producing data-driven reports for public consumption but will also be involved in internal analytics projects. You’ll help Clever answer key questions about the residential real estate market, help inform readers across the world about real estate, personal finance, and consumer trends, and help build a state-of-the-art internal real estate analytics platform. Key Responsibilities • Develop key analyses for the marketing team, including running and analyzing surveys, developing custom analyses of market trends using internal and external data, and supporting the marketing team with specific questions for outreach projects. • Help cross-functional teams maximize value from our state-of-the-art internal analytics platform and data tools by effectively presenting data to non data stakeholders. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into reliable data products. • Contribute to architecture discussions and help define the evolution of our data platform. • Collaborate with a tight-knit group of data & PR professionals on a daily basis. • Proactively propose alternative solutions, weighing risks and rewards thoughtfully. • Embrace feedback loops and share learnings from challenges to drive team growth. Qualifications • 3+ years of data analysis experience, ideally in multiple industries • High proficiency with spreadsheets (v look ups, pivot tables) • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to present clear, concise data summaries to non-technical audiences • Proficiency with SQL, Python and/or R Nice to Haves: • Familiarity with Databricks What Success Looks Like: In 3 Months • You own Clever's data collection and analysis pipeline for research studies that go out to journalists and media. • You collaborate closely with Clever's Public Relations team to design and implement surveys, and conduct deep analysis to find insights about the real estate market, consumer trends, and demographic groups. • You translate data and insights into key takeaways that are easy for internal team members and external groups (like media) to understand. • You understand Clever's core business, who to go to for support, and Clever's processes and standards for developing technology. In 6 Months • You become a key support for Clever's Algorithmic Content teams, enabling our data- and AI-powered content production pipelines. • You work with editors and product managers to break down real estate decisions and develop scoring methodologies to guide consumer choices. • You translate complex product specs into detailed tickets for data engineers, and make sure engineers have the right context and requirements to execute work efficiently.
