About the Role: Patient Registration Customer Service Representative We're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our team at blithequark's Ascension Via Christi Hospital Pittsburg location. As a Patient Registration representative, you'll be the first point of contact for patients checking into the hospital, providing a vital service that requires both technical expertise and emotional intelligence. This PRN (as needed) role demands a flexible and adaptable individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Work on multiple computer screens and answer phones to intake patient information accurately and efficiently in a busy hospital environment. Collect and input patient and insurance details correctly between physician and nurse check-ins, requiring strong typing skills and the ability to multitask. Provide compassionate care to patients who may be experiencing illness or anxiety, listening attentively to their concerns and addressing their questions and fears. Build rapport with patients in real-time, asking follow-up questions and providing personalized support to ease their anxiety. Work effectively in a dynamic environment where clinicians may interrupt the registration process for emergent clinical care, requiring adaptability and composure under pressure. Requirements and Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you'll need: A High School Diploma or GED. Excellent customer service experience, with a proven track record of providing top-notch support to clients or patients. While prior healthcare experience is not necessary, you'll need to be comfortable working in a hospital/lab environment where you may encounter illness and injuries.
