About the Role We're seeking an experienced Customer Development Manager to drive category strategies in alignment with customer priorities. As the Insights and Analytics expert supporting a Top National Customer, you'll leverage your analytical and thought leadership skills to analyze data, identify opportunities, and make recommendations that drive category and customer growth. Primary Responsibilities Manage data sources to monitor the field execution of vendor programs & assortments, ensuring seamless execution and optimization. Communicate complex and detailed information to multiple stakeholders with varying knowledge levels, presenting insights and recommendations effectively. Stay abreast of industry best practices in analytics and provide actionable information to drive sales, margin, and market development goals. Analyze and report data to identify trends, issues, or exceptions, driving improvement and finding solutions to optimize results. Track category performance, including sales, profits, margins, and market share, to inform strategic decisions. Develop, communicate, execute, and monitor performance metrics and goals relevant to each business, ensuring alignment with customer priorities. Create and deliver effective reports using POS data, Syndicated Data, and account-specific database information in presentation-ready formats. Evaluate supplier performance and provide recommendations to enhance inventory and fill rate objectives. Apply customer, consumer, and industry insights using market research data to drive category growth and deliver business results. Ensure superior client satisfaction by providing in-depth analytics and contributing to team problem-solving efforts. Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, performing other job-related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's Degree and experience within the CPG sector, preferably in Adult Beverage; experience working with Costco is a valuable asset. Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and quantitative analysis skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets. Expertise in category management principles, syndicated data, and shopper/consumer insights (e.g., Numerator/Spectra). Understanding of National Chain Sales, Retail, and Distributor operations, with the ability to collaborate with external retail customers, key suppliers, and internal teams. Assertive leadership and decision-making skills, with an aptitude for understanding changing market dynamics and resolving complex problems. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to create effective reports and presentations. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience working with Syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI), Internal Shipment Data, and Household Panel. A proven track record of success in a similar role, with strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
