As a Customer Service Agent, you will play a pivotal role in delivering top-notch service to our clients, ensuring their travel experiences are nothing short of exceptional. Why You'll Love This Role As a Customer Service Specialist at blithequark, you will be the face of our company, interacting with clients in a compassionate, professional, and friendly manner. You will be an integral part of our team, working from the comfort of your own home, with the flexibility to manage your work-life balance effectively. Key Responsibilities Issue, reissue, and discount traveler tickets, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Book, ticket, and confirm flight reservations, providing excellent customer service. Rebook travelers on oversold flights and during irregular operations, handling challenging situations with ease. Perform traveler check-in and front seat assignment, correct oversold seat assignments, and issue upgrades. Issue vouchers and provide direction to travelers for accommodations, meals, and transportation, coordinating refuel and refresh. Work gate reader/scanner and related tasks, including pre-boarding, monitoring/checking carry-on items, and gate line models. Operate jetways/bridges for boarding and deplaning travelers, ensuring a smooth travel experience. Make boarding and departure gate announcements, conveying important information to travelers. Convey domestic/international flight documents and perform passenger service flight close-out procedures. Accept, check, and tag travelers' baggage at destination stations, full-service ticket counters, and priority ticket counters. Maintain a schedule of flight check-in processes, ensuring timely and efficient operations. Participate in client care hands-on training, continually improving your skills and knowledge. Process and complete credit card baggage transactions at stands in the ticket counter area and activation stations. Assist travelers with self-service stand registration and booth baggage handling at ticket counters. Line up at ticket counter stands and ticket counters, providing excellent customer service. Clear/confirm international documents at booths in the ticket counter area and activation stations. Accept and activate travelers' self-labeled bags at activation stations, ensuring efficient baggage handling. Help clients requiring special assistance or in-station, including boarding, deplaning, and transporting non-mobile travelers. Perform client assistance work related to handling codeshare flights and contractor/ground handling arrangements or agreements. Maintain regular and predictable attendance on location, including fulfilling any mandatory overtime requirements. Respond and assist during security and emergency circumstances, handling unexpected situations with professionalism. Provide connecting travelers with gate information, ensuring a seamless travel experience. Deliver quality client care in a professional manner, adhering to blithequark's guidelines and policies. Comply with company policies, procedures, and performance standards, continually striving for excellence. Complete job-related stages of training, expanding your knowledge and skills. Adhere to regulations (e.g., DOT, FAA, TSA), ensuring compliance and safety. Utilize various internal resources/systems, including during client interactions, to provide efficient and effective service. Wear attire as expected by company policy, maintaining a professional appearance. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher, demonstrating a strong educational foundation. Bilingual language abilities, a plus in certain locations, enhancing your ability to serve diverse clients. Valid driver's license, as required by local authorities, ensuring compliance with regional regulations. Must satisfy FAA criminal history records to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable. Ability to obtain proper airport authority and/or US Customs security identifications, if applicable. Completion of a pre-employment drug screen, comprehensive background check, and/or fingerprinting to fulfill company and security requirements. Authorized to work in the U.S., ensuring compliance with employment regulations. Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of Sabre or other Passenger Service Systems, enhancing your ability to efficiently manage flight operations. Previous face-to-face customer service experience, demonstrating your ability to provide exceptional client care. Ability to work in a high-speed environment, handling multiple tasks with ease and professionalism.
