Rolls-Royce is a leading company known for its innovation in the Marine sector, and they are seeking a Control Systems Engineer to design and validate complex control and monitoring systems for Marine Gas Turbine and Generator Set. The role involves collaborating with various engineering disciplines, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the quality and timely delivery of control subsystems. Responsibilities Review and agree control and monitoring system requirements including their testability Design and implement control and monitoring systems to meet the customer requirements and associated standards Analyses the control and monitoring system functional behavior, which may include modelling and simulation, to demonstrate that the design meets the requirements Liaises with other engineering disciplines, suppliers, customers, and operators to understand the full system and its use to facilitate effective control system design Methodically troubleshoot software and hardware control system issues and be able to clearly communicate corrective actions in a timely manner Produce clear and concise reports where required to document the work carried out Prepare presentations and present technical material to a variety of engineering and non-engineering audiences Able to travel both domestically and internationally up to 10% Skills Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with 1+ years of systems engineering experience, OR Master's Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering, OR PhD in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen 2+ years of controls systems experience Knowledge of gas turbine engines, generators, and the control of these systems Proficient in design and analysis tools, such as Matlab, Simulink, JMP, etc Knowledge and experience with Root Cause Analysis and other problem-solving techniques Highly self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to manage tasks to completion ensuring that the relevant areas of the business are appropriately informed Comfortable working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment or as a sole contributor on identified projects Benefits Bonus Employee support assistance Employee discounts Health, dental, vision, disability, life and accidental death & dismemberment insurance Flexible spending account Health savings account 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match Employee Assistance Program Paid Time Off Certain paid holidays Paid parental and family care leave Tuition reimbursement Long-term incentive plan Company Overview Rolls-Royce provides aerospace engines, power systems, defense propulsion, marine solutions, and comprehensive MRO services.
