Consumer Product Safety & Compliance Professional
Stratfield is seeking a Consumer Product Safety & Compliance Professional (Toys, Promotional Items) to support safety and compliance for consumer products and promotional items for our client. In this role, you will evaluate a wide range of items, such as giveaways, apparel, and branded merchandise, to ensure they meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in quality, compliance and safety specific to consumer products. This is a remote contract position for 12-18 months. Sponsorship is not available for this position. Candidates must be US based. Responsibilities: • Update existing Product Safety Manual to cover the regulations and standards for these additional products. • Update test specifications to ensure that these additional products are covered. • Work with suppliers of merchandise and the associated packaging to meet quality and safety standards. • Project management documentation support for vendor quality and safety. Required Skills: • BS Degree ideally in mechanical engineer, compliance, safety, product or similar field. • 3+ years of experience within quality, compliance and safety for consumer products. • Experience working with safety testing organizations (CPSC – Consumer Products Safety Commission, UL-Underwriters Laboratories, QIMA, Intertek quality). • Experience working with quality and safety for toys and/or promotional items is highly preferred. • Product Safety Certifications are a plus.
