The Catalog Specialist in Indirect Procurement is responsible for maintaining accurate data and ensuring smooth operations across the Procure-to-Pay process, overseeing expense-related entries and managing system interfaces. Responsibilities Sets-up a vendor’s applicable item (goods or services) information into Oracle and/or SAP ensuring proper categorization, GL account code detail, pricing, description etc Ensures consistent data accuracy for all vendors and items across each ordering method - catalog, non catalog requests or punchouts with monitoring and appropriate audits taken place on a set cadence Working alongside the team of expeditors and Finance to streamline invoice processing via OAN, invoice ingestion & EDI to maximize efficiencies Assists in problem resolution, handling financial or vendor issues or inquires where data does not systematically match, determines appropriate action to resolve the issue and communicates any information to applicable parties as needed Manages the timetable and project plan to ensure the procure to pay process continues to run smoothly and on schedule with new and adaptive technologies being implemented. Managing this project plan requires testing, investigative analytics and troubleshooting any potential problems prior to a go live Hosts training sessions across any capacity for users at both corporate and retail Serves as the department liaison between Indirect staff, Finance and Wakefern Tech Skills Bachelor's College degree or currently enrolled student with a minimum of 60 or more college credits completed towards a Business Degree Aptitude for detail, strong analytical/excel and project management skills required Strong customer service skills as well as ability to multitask several projects simultaneously Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; ability to lead important meetings and establish actionable expected outcomes Confident communicator with strong presentation skills, capable of delivering clear and engaging messages to stakeholders Experience in supermarket retail a plus Prior Oracle/iPro experience strongly desired Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage Life and disability insurance A 401(k)-retirement plan with company match & annual company contribution Paid time off Holidays Parental leave Access to wellness and family support programs Fitness reimbursement Educational and training opportunities through our corporate university A collaborative, team-oriented work environment Company Overview Wakefern Food Corp. is employing an innovative approach to wholesale business services.
