Join a Prestigious Research Institution: Indiana University School of Public Health-Bloomington Indiana University School of Public Health-Bloomington is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bilingual English & Spanish Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our dynamic team in the Department of Applied Health Science. As a Postdoctoral Fellow, you will play a crucial role in a multi-year research project focused on developing and psychometrically assessing survey items to measure attitudes and public opinion toward abortion in the U.S. for use in both English and Spanish social surveys. About the Project This exciting research project is led by Drs. Kristen Jozkowski, Brandon Crawford, Ronna Turner, and Wen-Juo Lo, and involves collaboration with faculty from various disciplines at Indiana University and the University of Arkansas. As a Postdoctoral Fellow, you will work closely with the principal investigators and other researchers to drive the project's success. Key Responsibilities Assist in developing surveys in English and Spanish Conduct interviews and analyze interview data in both languages Conduct analyses using both quantitative and qualitative data Write manuscripts, prepare reports, and disseminate results at academic conferences Participate in the translation of survey and interview instruments using a team-based approach Manage research projects and demonstrate excellent organizational skills Collaborate with faculty and researchers from various disciplines and institutions Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must have: A doctoral degree from an accredited educational institution in a relevant discipline (e.g., social and behavioral sciences, public health, psychology, sociology, or political science) Fluency in both English and Spanish Strong research experience in quantitative methodology, including data management and analysis Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Spanish Interpersonal and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications Additional qualifications that would enhance your application include: Experience with qualitative methodology, including conducting interviews and analyzing interview data A track record of successful scholarship dissemination Experience managing research projects What We Offer As a Postdoctoral Fellow at Indiana University School of Public Health-Bloomington, you will enjoy: A competitive salary ($61,000-$63,000) Opportunities for career growth and professional development A dynamic and interdisciplinary research environment Collaboration with renowned faculty and researchers Access to resources and facilities at a prestigious R1-Highest Research Activity university Possibility of funding for conference-related travel and expenses About Indiana University School of Public Health-Bloomington Located on the flagship campus of the Indiana University System, IU School of Public Health-Bloomington is a leading institution in public health education and research.
