We're now seeking an experienced Behavioural Threat Investigator to join our team and help us lead the way in cybercrime investigations. About the Role Reporting to the Director of Cybercrime Investigations, the Behavioural Threat Investigator will be responsible for developing proactive scripts to support global investigations into active and potential threats against our executives, property, and customers. This critical role requires a highly skilled and experienced professional who can gather and analyze actionable internal, open-source, and dark web information, partnering with key stakeholders to investigate internal and external threats. Key Responsibilities Conduct complex investigations based on behavioral threat data science techniques across multiple business segments, with a primary focus on insider threat, misconduct, and fraud. Gather evidence and provide investigative support and consultative services to law enforcement, developing and maintaining strong relationships in a complex multi-national corporation. Analyze data and trends to support internal and external threat investigations, developing and implementing proactive plans and programs to address opportunities. Communicate Global Security's position effectively to key stakeholders, fully supporting senior leadership in the development and implementation of initiatives and programs to detect, investigate, and disrupt threats. Provide strong subject matter expertise in insider threat, cybercrime, security, and investigative operations, as well as data-driven investigations. Provide after-hours support as needed, demonstrating initiative and energy to go beyond minimum requirements. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A minimum of 5 years' experience in a mission-critical environment with a background in insider threat, intelligence, or data analysis related disciplines. Demonstrated expertise in developing scripts to identify crime patterns and enrich large volumes of data for analysis and investigation. A strong understanding of insider threat and cybercrime tactics, techniques, and procedures, as well as adversary tools, tactics, procedures, and threats impacting the financial sector. Experience working across multiple lines of business in a corporate function, with a solid understanding of insider threat, executive protection, and physical security ecosystems. Successful experience working with physically distributed teams, with strong interpersonal skills to establish credibility and productive relationships with law enforcement, service establishments, colleagues, and senior leadership. A strong level of understanding of investigative techniques, OSINT, and intelligence analysis to detect and resolve criminal activity. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to review information to determine its significance, validate its accuracy, and assess its reliability. Preferred Qualifications To stand out in this role, you'll also need: The ability to prioritize and execute tasks in high-impact or time-sensitive situations, with a bias for action and getting things done. The ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical business partners, with strong problem-solving skills and analytical methods for impact. Effective organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate and influence in a matrixed environment. A Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Intelligence, Data Analysis, Data Science, Engineering, or Technology-related fields is a plus. Skills and Competencies The ideal candidate will possess: Strong understanding of HIVE SQL, LexisNexis, and i2 Analyst Notebook. Skilled in assembling a case for prosecutors, including gathering evidence, summarizing findings in well-documented reports, and compliance with policies. Strong analytic writing, interpersonal collaborative skills, and effective communication.
