They are seeking an Associate for their Transaction Advisory practice to support client service teams and assist in various transaction advisory assignments. Responsibilities Support the day-to-day activities of BRG's Corporate Finance –Transaction Advisory client service teams executing on buy and sell side diligence engagements Demonstrate consistent, balanced project delegation, supervision and leadership skills across all areas of an engagement Assist in identifying issues for purchase price adjustments and potential deal structuring insights Utilize business, finance, accounting, and analytical skills to perform tasks including, but not limited to quality of earnings, financial trend analysis, working capital trending, and benchmark, financial statement review, business plan assessments and cash flow statements Demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment; collaborate with TA and BRG experts, professionals from other firms and client contacts to achieve engagement objectives Lead the preparation of reports, written analyses, presentations, and other client deliverables Participate in the development of a fast-growing, entrepreneurial consulting practice including assisting in marketing, client pitches, and product and practice development Demonstrate the highest degree of professionalism, ethics, quality, and integrity Be ready to expand your network with clients to become a trusted and reputable advisor Skills Bachelors or Masters degree equivalent in Business, Accounting/Finance, Management, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or related field (MBA or CPA is a plus) 0-2 years of work experience, ideally in a consulting or professional services environment Expertise in financial modeling and analysis (particularly in Excel), including constructing and understanding 3-statement financial models, cash flows and scenario analyses Ability to manage and analyze large volumes of financial and operational data Ability to interpret the results of qualitative and quantitative analysis and develop insights and recommendations Excellent written and oral communication skills and a demonstrated ability to interact with junior and senior team members, senior management and other stakeholders or professionals Mature presence, empathy, intellectual curiosity, and ability to learn quickly Strong problem solving and project management skills Ability to work well independently or in a team dynamic Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize changing work demands and learn quickly Advanced in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Willingness to travel up to 25% Candidate must be able to submit verification of his/her legal right to work in the United States, without company sponsorship CFA, CPA (or equivalent), or technical/GAAP accounting expertise is a plus Familiarity with financial research tools (e.g., Capital IQ, Bloomberg, etc.) Company Overview BRG combines world-leading academic credentials with world-tested business expertise, purpose-built for agility and connectivity, which sets us apart—and gets our clients ahead.
