Associate Pastor/Biblical Counselor - Overnight Shift (Remote)

Our K-LOVE & Air1 Pastors specialize in providing direct, one-on-one biblical guidance and crisis intervention for our listeners through phone ministry. They focus exclusively on offering biblical counsel, addressing theological questions, and connecting callers with appropriate resources. Our Pastors maintain scheduled office hours and participate in on-call rotations to ensure consistent availability for those seeking spiritual support and guidance. This is a Full-Time Remote Position. Must be a Tennessee Resident Note: There will be occasional travel to our headquarters in Franklin, TN for training and other required events. Here's some of what you will be doing..... • Provide pastoral and biblical counsel to K-LOVE/Air1 listeners via phone on a variety of life topics from Biblical questions to crisis intervention. As appropriate pray, counsel, and direct listeners to resources in their area for long-term assistance. As part of the goal to take listener calls live, the Associate Pastor will: • Maintain scheduled hours and participate in on-call rotation (nights and weekends), assuming the responsibilities of On-Call Pastor during assigned period. • Serve as back up for the on-call pastor as needed. Continue to grow in biblical knowledge and counseling skills. • Make referrals to local assistance, e.g. churches, shelters, rehab facilities and counsellors. • Regularly pray with and for our listeners. Respond to prayer requests that come in on a daily basis via phone and/or e-mail. • Partner as appropriate, especially during pledge drive, with on air and social media staff; i.e. documenting listener stories or sharing listener call experiences. • Follow the legal requirements of a mandated reporter under state law. Here's what we're looking for... • At least six (6) years’ of pastoral experience handling a wide range of pastoral functions, or equivalent education and experience. • Equipped with the knowledge of appropriate counseling methods in order to adequately respond to suicide, child abuse, elder abuse, marriage problems, personal problems, spiritual problems, and/or any other problems associated with life and its experiences and to provide biblical counseling. • Committed to grow and gain a further understanding of the pastoral/counseling profession by completing continuing education (i.e. reading and/or attending relevant courses or seminars). • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build trust and value others; communicate effectively; focus on the listener; and collaborate with others. Customer service experience/orientation preferred. • Able to work independently, problem solve and be flexible as the field is constantly changing. • Strong computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook), Social Media forums and smart devices. • Proof of license and/or ordination. • Bilingual skills a plus! • Alignment with our values is top priority.
