Analyst, Financial Reporting

They are seeking an Analyst, Financial Reporting to support the finance team in managing accounting activities, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Completion of reconciliation, accounting and reporting activities Participation in quarterly and annual Financial Statements and Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) Involvement in monthly close Preparation of manual journal entries Daily review of trial balance for unusual activity Completion of monthly reconciliations Ensure compliance with Fairstone processes and internal policies; document procedures and processes Involvement in operational and financial reporting audits and controls Contributing in activities related to process improvement and automation Partaking in other ad hoc projects as required Skills University degree in Finance or Accounting At least 6 months relevant experience in accounting Accounting and finance knowledge Ability to work independently and meet multiple deadlines CPA certification would be considered an asset Experience working at a large financial institution and a multinational corporation Benefits Work-Life Balance: Our 37.5-hour workweek and hybrid model (3 days in-office) promote a healthy balance.
