About Curious Refuge Curious Refuge is the world’s leading AI filmmaking school — helping creatives master the art of storytelling through artificial intelligence. Our courses have empowered thousands of filmmakers, artists, and innovators to explore the future of cinematic production. We’re expanding our team to include a passionate AI Content Creator & Educator — someone who can teach, inspire, and create educational content that bridges the gap between traditional creative production and the emerging world of Generative AI. The Role We’re looking for a dynamic creative who lives at the intersection of filmmaking, storytelling, and AI technology. This person will produce engaging educational content for our online courses, YouTube channel, and social platforms — helping a global community of creatives understand how to use AI tools in real production environments. You’ll serve as a teacher, communicator, and creative technologist — someone who can explain complex tools in clear, exciting, and cinematic ways. Responsibilities • Develop educational content (video lessons, tutorials, demos, and course materials) that teach AI tools and creative workflows. • Appear on-camera for instructional videos, interviews, and creative breakdowns. • Stay current with emerging Generative AI tools, trends, and best practices — translating them into real-world creative applications. • Collaborate with the Curious Refuge team to design curriculum and visual storytelling frameworks for students. • Support students and learners through recorded Q&As, feedback sessions, or occasional live teaching events. • Contribute to research and testing of new tools and techniques for creative production using AI. Ideal Candidate • Proven background in filmmaking, video production, or creative direction (film, animation, advertising, or media). • Experience using Generative AI tools such as Runway, Midjourney, Pika, Luma, Sora, ChatGPT, or similar. • Strong ability to teach and communicate complex concepts clearly — both on-camera and in writing. • Comfortable creating educational or YouTube-style video content (bonus if you’ve built your own audience). • Understanding of how AI integrates into creative pipelines, from pre-production to post. • Passionate about creative education, storytelling, and innovation. • Familiarity with editing, screenwriting, or creative tech is a plus. • Los Angeles–based or able to travel to LA regularly is a major plus.
