VPT HR Generalist - Part-time
This is a non-exempt/hourly paid, onsite, administrative position. (No remote work) Requirement of 2+ years of Human Resources experience. A Human Resources Generalist performs administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s Human Resources Department. Employees in this position are required to adhere to a high level of confidentiality; Maintaining the utmost confidentiality in dealing with employee records and/or business information related to personal, medical, financial, procedural, and/or proprietary information. An HR Generalist will be responsible for providing assistance to and taking direction from the Director of Human Resources. Job functions are as follows: • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute the following components of Human Resources (HR) related matters: • Compliance with federal, state and local employment laws & regulations and recommended best practices, inclusive of VPT internal practices, policies & procedures for this multi-state employer • Preparation of weekly payroll, including verification of time and attendance records, ensuring accuracy of payroll deductions, taxes, and benefit contributions. • Recruitment, on-boarding and terminations • Conduct new hire and benefit orientations and employee recognition programs. • Maintain performance evaluation schedules and talent management programs. • Assist with disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations. • Maintain employee personnel, medical, benefit, and complaint files. • Act as a liaison for employee and manager interactions for complex and sensitive matters. • Adhere to company procedures for handling and archiving both physical and electronic documents. • Continued education to maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in the areas of human resources, employment law and talent management. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ • *Company Overview:** Vermont Precision Tools, Inc. manufactures tooling that serves various markets, including Medical, Aerospace, Automotive, and Defense.
