About the role The Vice President, HR Business Partner is Tidal’s primary people-facing HR leader. This role owns recruiting, employee relations, culture execution, and learning & development — ensuring the firm hires well, develops talent intentionally, and scales leadership capability without dilution. This is a high-impact role in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, requiring strong judgment, credibility with leaders, and the ability to operate at speed while maintaining consistency and care. The role reports to the SVP, Human Resources and partners closely with executive leadership and the AVP HR Generalist. What you'll do Recruiting & Talent Acquisition • Own recruiting strategy and execution across all levels • Build and scale a cost-effective junior talent model (Analysts & Associates) • Shift hiring practices from experience-heavy to execution- and potential-driven • Implement structured, values-based hiring processes • Train hiring managers on consistent, fair hiring practices • Track and improve recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, quality of hire, early attrition) Culture & Values Execution • Embed values into hiring, leadership behavior, and people decisions • Serve as a steward of culture during rapid growth and change • Identify and mitigate culture risks early Learning & Development • Own L&D strategy and execution, including: • * Foundational skills • Role-based development • Leadership development • Ensure development programs support retention and readiness • Partner with leaders to strengthen people management capability Employee Relations & Manager Partnership • Own ER matters with discretion and consistency • Coach leaders through performance and employee issues • Identify trends and escalate insights proactively Qualifications • 10+ years of HR experience in HRBP, recruiting, and employee relations roles • Proven experience scaling teams in a high-growth environment • Strong judgment, executive presence, and ability to influence leaders • Comfortable operating at speed and in ambiguity What Success Looks Like • The firm hires and develops the right people at the right cost • Managers are stronger, more confident leaders • Culture remains consistent and values-driven • Employees feel supported, developed, and treated fairly We are prioritizing candidates who are located within proximity to Chicago, IL; Milwaukee, WI; New York City, NY; and West Palm Beach, FL.
