Position Overview Eventus is seeking an experienced Valuation Consultant to support our advisory team on an hourly basis, primarily focused on valuations related to acquisitions and complex financial instruments. This is an hourly project based role which requires a deep understanding of financial modeling, fair value measurement, and derivative and intangible asset valuation. The ideal consultant brings both technical precision and strategic insight, able to solve for multiple variables and deliver defensible, data-driven valuation analyses. Key Responsibilities • Perform valuation analyses for acquisitions, investments, and complex financial instruments. • Prepare and review 409A valuations, fair value assessments, and purchase price allocations (ASC 805). • Analyze convertible debt, options, warrants, and other derivative instruments using appropriate valuation methodologies (e.g., Monte Carlo simulations, Black‑Scholes, binomial models). • Develop and maintain financial models incorporating sensitivity and scenario analyses. • Conduct trend and market analysis to support valuation assumptions. • Provide insight on goodwill and intangible asset valuations, including technology, brand, and customer relationships and impairment analysis. • Collaborate with internal Eventus consultants and clients to deliver high-quality valuation reports and recommendations. • Ensure all work aligns with GAAP, ASC 820, and other applicable valuation and accounting standards. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred). • 5–10+ years of valuation or financial advisory experience, ideally within a consulting or Big 4 environment. • Strong experience with complex financial instruments, derivatives, and intangible asset valuations. • Demonstrated experience preparing 409A, ASC 820, ASC 805, and fair value analyses. • Proficiency in advanced Excel modeling and valuation software. • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving skills. • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to communicate findings clearly. CVA or ABV, designation preferred. • Remote collaboration with the Eventus team and clients. • Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience.
