Role Summary Powertek USA LLC is seeking a Utility & Energy Market Trends Analyst to identify, evaluate, and interpret major trends shaping the energy and utility sectors. The analyst will track economic, technological, policy, regulatory, and workforce developments and translate them into clear insights that support strategic planning and long-term decision-making. Key Responsibilities • Monitor and analyze domestic and global trends impacting utilities, clean energy, and emerging technologies. • Track developments in policy, regulation, economics, environmental factors, and consumer behavior. • Evaluate the implications of technology adoption, digital transformation, decarbonization, and workforce evolution. • Identify market opportunities, emerging threats, and long-term shifts affecting energy organizations. • Produce trend forecasts, thematic reports, and strategic insight summaries. • Support scenario planning by identifying key drivers and future-state conditions. • Communicate complex trends in straightforward, actionable language for leadership and project teams. • Collaborate with strategic planning, risk management, and business development teams to align trend insights with ongoing initiatives. Qualifications • 5–12 years of experience in market analysis, energy industry research, strategic insights, or consulting. • Strong understanding of the energy transition, utility operations, regulatory frameworks, and technology adoption trends. • Ability to interpret macro-level indicators and connect them to practical implications. • Skilled in qualitative and quantitative analysis, forecasting, and narrative building. • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills. • Degree in Energy Policy, Economics, Business, Engineering, Data Science, or related field preferred. Soft Skills • Future-focused mindset with strong critical thinking abilities. • Able to synthesize large volumes of information into simple, strategic takeaways. • Highly organized and comfortable working independently. • Strong communication and storytelling skills.
