Ethan Health is urgently seeking a part-time Human Resources Assistant. The ideal candidate is dependable, demonstrates high emotional intelligence, practices active listening, and maintains strict confidentiality and discretion. We are also looking for someone with a flexible schedule. This position includes an initial training period on first shift, Monday through Friday, with varying hours, typically lasting one week. After training is completed, the role will continue on first shift, Monday through Friday, with varying hours. Responsibilities: • Oversee the daily workflow of the HR department. • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with Leadership Team to understand skills and competencies required for openings. • Facilitate onboarding for new employees, including preparing paperwork and orientation materials. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HR systems. • Respond to routine employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and procedures. • Administer employee benefits and leave programs. • Track and document compliance with mandatory training and certifications. • Prepare HR-related reports and maintain personnel files. Ø Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy. • Handle employee relations issues by gathering information and scheduling meetings. • Coordinate background checks and employment eligibility verifications. • Conducts exit interviews and maintains termination documentation. Ø Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence. • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. • Performs other human resource duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred At least one year of human resources experience preferred • SHRM/PHR certification a plus • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality • Must have basic computer and communication skills and demonstrate non-judgmental and non-biased disposition regarding clients • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written • Ability to work effectively as part of a team • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards • Must be computer literate • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening • Must be absent from the Federal Exclusion List If you are passionate about supporting individuals on their recovery journey, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity.
