Workday Internal Jobs Site for Students Position Title: UC Marketing Student Manager Job Category: Student Hourly Job Profile: Student Help Job Summary: Job Description Leads the University Centers Marketing Team, overseeing daily operations, personnel, project workflows, and client service. Supports a year-round creative environment by coordinating staff, managing processes, and ensuring high-quality, on-time deliverables. Key Responsibilities: Supervise all student team members, including graphic designers, multimedia staff, and the project coordinator. Manage scheduling and payroll, including biweekly time approvals. Assign tasks, manage workloads, review drafts, and ensure projects stay on schedule. Guide the project coordinator in maintaining project management tools (e.g., ClickUp) and creating templates/reports. Coordinate and lead team, departmental, and client meetings. Conduct performance evaluations for student employees each semester. Enforce University Centers and Marketing Team policies and procedures. Develop, revise, and implement personnel policies within University Centers guidelines. Oversee recruitment, applications, interviews, training, and hiring processes as needed. Complete additional tasks assigned by the University Centers Marketing Manager. Adhere to all policies in the Student Employment and Supervisory Handbooks, Student Manager Contract, and relevant departmental guidelines. This position reports to the UC Marketing Specialist. Note: This position qualifies for internship or experiential learning credit. Department University Centers Marketing / UC Admin Compensation $13.50/hour The University Centers Student Employment Program Wage Classification Scale classifies this position as Division III, Range I. Required Qualifications Applicants must be available to work between 10-20 hours per week during the semester and must create and maintain a consistent work schedule by the first week of each semester. They must also attend staff meetings and events as needed. Summer and Winterim hours may be available but are not guaranteed. Preferred Qualifications The University Centers Marketing Team Student Manager must be able to supervise and work independently and in a team environment. Confidence, customer service, communication, and attention to detail are critical in this role. Additional preference will be given to qualified candidates with at least two semesters remaining at UWSP. Education The Marketing Student Manager must be at least a part-time student (enrolled in a minimum of 6 undergraduate or 5 graduate credits) and be in good academic standing (cumulative and semester GPAs of 2.0 or higher) at the time of hiring and throughout employment.
