Training and Commissioning Specialist

This is a remote role, but applicants must be located within one hour’s drive of a major airport. Position Overview Digital Scoreboards LLC is seeking a Training and Commissioning Specialist to deliver exceptional on-site experiences for clients receiving new scoreboard and AV systems. This role involves traveling nationwide to install, configure, and train users, ensuring systems are fully operational and customers feel confident using them. Acting as both a technical resource and brand ambassador, you will provide hands-on instruction, troubleshoot issues during commissioning, and contribute to continuous improvement of training processes. Key Responsibilities On-Site Installation & Commissioning • Install and configure scoreboard and AV systems at client locations. • Ensure all systems are fully operational before handoff to the client. • Provide troubleshooting support during commissioning to resolve issues quickly. Client Training & Support • Deliver hands-on training sessions to build user confidence and competence. • Act as a brand ambassador, maintaining professionalism and reinforcing a positive customer experience. • Document site visits, training outcomes, and any issues encountered. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement • Participate in the design and build of control systems as needed. • Provide feedback to improve training materials and processes. • Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth coordination and timely deployments. Results Required • Complete typical on-site commissioning and training within 2 business days. • Achieve 90%+ positive feedback from client surveys post-training. • Maintain accurate documentation for all site visits and training sessions. Qualifications • 2+ years of experience in AV installation, technical training, or commissioning. • Strong technical aptitude with AV systems, LED products, and control systems. • Excellent communication and presentation skills for client-facing interactions. • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site. • Highly organized with strong documentation skills. • Willingness to travel nationwide approximately 75% of the time. • Ability to lift and handle AV equipment as required. Skills and Competencies: • Proficiency in AV systems, LED displays, and control system configuration • Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site • Ability to deliver clear, engaging, and hands-on training sessions for diverse audiences • Maintain accurate documentation and manage multiple site visits efficiently • Professional demeanor with clients; ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and vendors • Comfortable working in varied environments and adjusting to changing schedules or client needs • Ability to manage logistics and maintain productivity while traveling extensively Physical Demands: • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching during installations and training. • Ability to lift, carry, and position AV equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds. • Comfortable working in diverse environments, including gymnasiums, outdoor venues, and areas with variable noise and temperature. • Occasional use of ladders or lifts for equipment placement. Mental Demands: • High attention to detail when configuring systems and documenting processes. • Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly. • Strong time management skills to complete installations and training within tight deadlines. • Capacity to troubleshoot under pressure and make sound decisions in real time. • Ability to balance technical tasks with client-facing responsibilities. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.
