THE ROLE: Technical Writer Job Summary: Presidio has an opportunity for a Proposal and Technical Writer with strong written and verbal communication skills to support the Cloud and Digital Business Presales Solution Architecture team. The Proposal and Technical Writer position will be a part of the Presidio Solution Support Inside Presales Team supporting the Cloud and Digital Business Pre-Sales Engineering organization across Presidio national practice. The role is to be a professional information communicator whose tasks will involve researching and creating documents, to capturing technical and solution activities, responding to proposal and competitive bid requests, and solutions and describe describing them to our clients, through any medium that best facilitates the transfer and comprehension of the information. The Technical Writer is responsible for generating innovative ideas for content while working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. The Technical Writer will collaborate with PreSales Solution Architects, Sales, Partners, and Vendors, creating new content, taking their provided content, and crafting it into a clear and concise document which will be shared with Presidio’s customers and other members of various project teams. The Technical Writer may also research products, services, technology, or concepts to be documented and easily understood by a broad audience. Travel Requirements: This position does not require any travel. You can be based in any location in the United States (Remote) Job Responsibilities: • Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for the greatest reader comprehension. • Review Requests for Proposals (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI) and other competitive bids. • Create and curate response input to provide a clear and concise message around Presidio’s capabilities and solutions based on the requirements shared in the RFPs. • Create Statements of Works that are clear, concise, and unambiguous. • Work with a team to create templates and content for SOWs, presentations, contracts, proposals, and other sales-related documentation. • Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions. • Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed, represented, and documented. • Manage document review and approval process including updates & edits to existing documents. • Analyze information required for the development or update of policy, procedure, and form documentation. • Review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team. Required Skills: • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint as well as other related MS Office applications. • Strong written skills, critical attention to detail, and a self-motivated work ethic are essential. • Experience creating and/or reviewing IT-related documents such as Proposals, Statement of Works and/or contracts in an IT Services industry. Education and Experience: • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience • Overall 2+ years of relevant experience.
