The Engineering Fellow will have industry level recognized expertise in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) and will work across RTX businesses to lead and influence the strategic development and integration of AI/ML technologies. The Engineering Fellow will drive RMD as an industry leader in the AI/ML domain and will maintain and develop partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to align internal investments with industry requirements and business outcomes. The Engineering Fellow will have deep aerospace system, architecture, and data analytics knowledge. The Engineering Fellow can teach and coach Machine Learning, Data Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence practices to practitioners across the enterprise as well as in the capacity as technical board member within related organizations. The Engineering Fellow's deep system knowledge enables participation as a Technologist within the domain and includes mentoring and facilitating use of technology people-resources through the business. Responsibilities to Anticipate: • You will influence the engineering tools methods, and processes that support RMD programs in Machine Learning, Data Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence. • You will lead and represent RMD and Raytheon Technologies AI/ML strategies to internal and external stakeholders • You will have regular communication to include industry partners, RMD and RTX level leadership, and customers to convey strategy, provide status, accomplishments, issues, and path forward, working across the business to get the support needed to drive the capability across the organization. • You will mentor and guide team members as AI/ML and Data Analytics capabilities are deployed within RMD. • You will apply extensive technical domain expertise to design solutions, engage others, and connect resources to programs requiring such experience Qualifications You Must Have: • Bachelor's degree in STEM and a minimum of twelve (12) years prior relevant experience (A Master's Degree will satisfy 2 years of work experience and a PhD will satisfy 3 years of work experience) • Experience developing and delivering training of new concepts • Experience managing and/or leading cross-disciplined teams in a technical capacity • Experience leading strategic efforts and establishing technical roadmaps within the AI/ML and Data Analytics domain • Prior experience working on aerospace systems across the full development lifecycle • Experience with direct customer interaction and communication • Experience leading development across multiple programs or company sites • Must be the author of intellectual property (patent disclosures) or conference/journal publications • An active and in-scope DoD Secret clearance Qualifications We Value: • Strong demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills • Demonstrated ability as a team lead to drive design and development across multiple stakeholder organizations • Agile development methodologies experience • Excellent presentation and proposal skills • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities • Master's degree in Systems Engineering or related discipline What We Offer : Whether you are just starting out on your career journey, or are an experienced professional, we offer a robust total rewards package including compensation, healthcare, wellness, retirement, work/life benefits, career development and recognition programs.
