They are seeking a highly motivated individual for the role of Tax Administrator I, responsible for overseeing the operations and activities related to employer Unemployment Insurance reserve accounts and managing UI rate protests, petitions, and hearings. Responsibilities Plan, organize, direct, review and evaluate the operations and activities of a group of 10 professional staff in the maintenance of employer Unemployment Insurance (UI) reserve accounts in the Accounting and Compliance Enterprise System (ACES) and oversee the UI rate protests, petitions, and hearings Apply the provisions of the California Unemployment Insurance Code (CUIC), Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations, Departmental regulations, rules, and policies Principles of Evidence as they pertain to UI rating, UI rate protests, petitions and hearings, reserve account transfers, and employer rates Skills Excellent analytical skills Excellent communication skills Excellent organization skills Ability to plan, organize, direct, review and evaluate the operations and activities of a group of 10 professional staff Knowledge of the California Unemployment Insurance Code (CUIC) Knowledge of Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations Knowledge of Departmental regulations, rules, and policies Principles of Evidence as they pertain to UI rating, UI rate protests, petitions and hearings, reserve account transfers, and employer rates Experience and education relating to the Minimum Qualifications (MQs) listed on the Classification Specification Company Overview When you turn to us, we have a program that can help you reach your goals.
