The Talent Acquisition & Training Analyst will manage recruitment processes and training programs while serving as a liaison for applicant tracking systems. Responsibilities Plan, develop, and implement recruitment and staffing strategies for client departments with special emphasis on a highly qualified pool of candidates, timeliness, and cost effectiveness Assess and analyze the local competitive market for designated positions and identify recruitment trends, and market changes utilizing available employment data and in collaboration with the Compensation unit staff; address hiring issues related to compensation Process and post job requisitions to internal and external websites.Write advertising copy for ad placements, selecting the most productive and cost-effective advertising Regularly consult with managers and advise/educate them on all aspects of the recruitment process, including, but not limited to, policy and procedures, requisitions, candidate selection and interviewing, reference checking, preferential rehire process, salary setting, and background checks Place recruitment ads in publications and on websites Represent UCSB at a variety of local recruitment and outreach events Design, plan, and deliver a variety of employment related training programs for staff, managers, and supervisors, including but not limited to, hiring process workshops, applicant workshops, new employee workshops, and any other needed areas of training Manage learning activities in the UCLC (LMS) for Human Resources Talent Development unit Skills Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training 1-3 years of work experience conducting recruitment processes Ability to apply employment and training policies and procedures, as well as, knowledge of various federal and state HR laws and regulations Effective written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to establish productive working relationships with clients, coworkers, peers, and management Ability to manage a large volume of recruitments and other work in a fast-paced environment Ability to use discretion, exercise good judgment and resourcefulness, tact, diplomacy and maintain strict confidentiality Experience with PeopleSoft TAM or similar applicant-tracking systems Previous working experience in higher education or complex public-sector HR Fluency in Spanish is highly valuable Working knowledge of Federal and State laws and regulations pertaining to employment Benefits Full Benefits Excellent retirement and health are just one of the rewards.
