Responsibilities • Reports to the Manager of Training • Ensures the standardization and compliance of the pilot staff with the Flight Operations Manual (FOM) and its associated documents in accordance with FAA and PHI Air Medical policies and procedures • Ensures in cooperation with the Manager of Training, the standardization of the Flight Instructor/Check Airman staff • Assists in the hiring and training of pilots • Recommends and assists in developing procedures for operating the different types of aircraft, to include the publication and revision of MELs, Aircraft Checklists, Passenger Briefing Cards, and other appropriate operational documents in coordination with Directors of Maintenance, Operations, Quality Assurance and Engineering • Recommends and assists in the revision of the FOM • Maintains pilot records to include flight experience, training, and qualifications • Maintains a liaison with the FAA in regards to operating certificates, operations specifications, exemptions, and regulations pertaining to the operation of all aircraft • Maintains a liaison with aircraft manufacturers in regard to performance and operating techniques and training methods associated with their particular aircraft • Establishes and maintain liaison with the AMG management structure in order to meet their current and future pilot staffing needs with a focus on efficient use of assets • Administers disciplinary action for non-compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, the Flight Manual, or the Flight Operations Manual within the pilot staff • Participates in accident investigations as requested • Maintains a suspense file of current exemptions, letters of agreement and other sensitive documents to ensure their currency • Performs other duties as directed by the Chief Pilot and/or Manager of Training Requirements • High School Diploma • Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (helicopter) • Current FAA Second Class Medical • 3 years experience as Pilot in Command (PIC) in FAR 135 operations, of which one cumulative year in Air Medical operations, as well as any other requirements in accordance with current Air Taxi regulations • Current check airman and maintain currency • Good organizational skills • Strong computer skills Apply tot his job
