State Land Board Accounting and Records Technician
About the position This is a part-time position at 20 hours per week with the Colorado Department of Natural Resources. The department's mission is to manage and conserve Colorado's natural resources for the benefit of current and future generations. The position is part of the Finance team, supporting the State Land Board's risk management program to promote the agency's operations and goals for organizational excellence and financial trusteeship. The work involves administrative support and records management functions, particularly in finance administration and accounts receivable, as well as financial assurance management. Responsibilities • Perform administrative support and records management functions for financial records. • Monitor the Royalty e-mail box for production reports related to royalties due to the Land Board. • Generate all scheduled lease invoices and ensure accuracy in billing. • Coordinate the dunning and delinquency process for past due invoices. • Manage financial assurance and risk management concepts to protect agency assets. • Audit bond inventory against lease records to ensure compliance with bond requirements. Requirements • Three (3) years of experience in an office environment performing administrative support functions such as data entry, billing, and customer relations. • A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to three (3) years. Nice-to-haves • Two (2) years of experience using CRM/ERP software for customer records and billing functions. • Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe. • Two (2) years of experience coordinating work related to cash bonds and collections. • Current or former State experience relevant to this position.
