Overview We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Start-up Fundraiser Consultant to join our team. Duties • Develop comprehensive fundraising strategies tailored to start-up organizations’ needs and goals. • Identify potential funding sources including grants, donors, and sponsorship opportunities through research and networking. • Write compelling grant proposals and funding applications utilizing expertise in grant proposal writing. • Manage and utilize databases and CRM software such as Raiser's Edge to track donor information, campaign progress, and engagement metrics. • Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders through effective relationship management techniques. • Coordinate marketing and public relations efforts to enhance visibility and support for client initiatives. • Conduct outreach activities including events, presentations, and community engagement to foster support. • Provide strategic advice on branding, messaging, and campaign development aligned with organizational goals. • Monitor fundraising performance metrics; prepare reports for clients on progress and areas for improvement. • Offer ongoing customer service support to ensure client satisfaction and address any concerns promptly. Requirements • Proven experience in fundraising, grant proposal writing, or related roles within non-profit or start-up environments. • Strong knowledge of databases and CRM software, particularly Raiser's Edge or similar platforms. • Excellent research skills to identify new funding opportunities. • Demonstrated ability in strategic planning with a focus on sustainable growth models. • Proficiency in marketing strategies, public relations, and relationship management techniques. • Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—to craft compelling proposals and engage stakeholders effectively. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. • Customer service orientation with a professional approach to client interactions. • Experience working with diverse teams across departments such as marketing, research, and development is preferred.
