Staff Accountant

Versique Executive, Professional & Interim Recruiting is a high-performance recruiting firm based in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. They are seeking a Staff Accountant who will assist with month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations, while also preparing for financial audits and managing inventory results for the Trading team. Responsibilities Oversee many aspects of finance and accounting, with particular responsibility for general ledger, fixed asset register, contract ledgers, and stock and inventory Manages a number of traders’ portfolios with respect to the Job Costing and Inventory Prepares timely and accurate financial information and analysis for the U.S. business and presents information to local management as needed Assists in the production of the monthly management accounts and supports the preparations for the audit, supplying information to allow the timely, accurate and cost effective preparation of financial accounts and tax computations Monitors accounts payable to ensure that the subsidiary ledger of accounts payable is accurate, current and risk controlled Monitors the general ledger, fixed asset register, job costing and inventory to ensure that these subsidiary ledgers are also accurate, current and risk controlled Reports to management any risk or non-compliance issues, in all areas of business operation Processes confidential documents including financial statements Other duties as assigned Skills Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required 0 to 4 years' experience preferred Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to prioritize and multi-task Decision making, analytical and problem solving skills Strong attention to detail Ability to work in a team environment, but also able to contribute individually Experience with accounting & ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O advantageous) Must be proficient with Microsoft office products; with intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills CPA desired, but not required International accounting experience is a plus Benefits Healthcare & Dental Insurance options, Vision insurance Health Savings & Flexible Spending Account options Company paid Life Insurance, Short Term Disability and Long-Term disability insurance Free membership to Sam’s Club or Costco, Free AAA Membership, Free LifeLock Identity Theft Insurance Fitness Reimbursement Program Paid Vacation & Holidays 401k with a 6% company match Merit Increases, and other great perks Company Overview At Versique, we don’t just fill roles—we build teams, drive growth, and enable transformation.
