Job Description: As a Sr. Technology Consultant supporting the Network Operations Planning (NOP) department, you'll support the Recovery Program by identifying process and technology improvements that reduce the cost and time to recovery during irregular operations and enhance network resiliency through scheduling adjustments. You'll collaborate with business partners to understand current processes, evaluate opportunities for improvement, and recommend technology solutions where appropriate. Additionally, the Sr. Technology Consultant will develop and deliver executive-level communications, manage projects related to tool development, and drive initiatives that strengthen operational efficiency and resilience. Responsibilities • Lead and execute the research and analysis of trends, the development of new strategies, processes, tools and reports • Mentor other Team members and help develop Analysts and Consultants within and outside the Team • Directly involved in understanding, improving and sharing available data sets with other teams within the business • Leverage Team’s technology skills (SQL, Alteryx, Python, R, Tableau, Big Data Concepts) and business knowledge to provide answers to business requests • Transform raw data into easily understood, presentable, and actionable findings • Lead the development and improvement of models and process including supporting their downline implementation • Facilitate and share technical guidance on principles and topics to groups around the business • Conducts analysis using optimization and other available tools to create and compare scenarios, offering insights into how different ideas perform • Drive cross-departmental improvements for processes, staffing, schedule design, and irregular operations preparedness and management • Handle and manage multiple concurrent projects assigned to the team • Must be able to meet any physical requirements listed on this job description • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Expert knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, product planning, prioritization, and coordination of people and resources • Knowledge of strategic and financial analysis and analytical and quantitative skills • Highly skilled in PowerPoint to synthesize information and develop presentations for Senior Leadership and affected stakeholders • Skilled in written and verbal communication with diverse audiences, including both technical and non-technical customers, colleagues, and executives • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite products such as Excel, SharePoint, etc. • Skilled in applying a methodical and logical approach to complex problem-solving • Ability to assume a high level of responsibility and to provide direction in a cross-functional, Team-oriented environment • Ability to work under stressful situations and manage time effectively • Ability to prioritize tasks to meet department objectives and goals • Ability to understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems • Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong • Ability to coach and mentor teammates, providing guidance to peers and other Team members to transfer knowledge and support their development • Ability to communicate in a flexible and effective manner with all levels of Employees and Leadership • Ability to demonstrate identifying tradeoffs between immediate operational needs and long-term strategic requirements • Preferred: Familiarity with the aviation industry and airline operations Education • High School Diploma or GED Experience • Expert-level experience, expansive and far reaching knowledge in: • Solving complex problems and driving multiple stakeholders towards implementable solutions • Leading programs that can span multiple work groups and/or departments Licensing/Certification • N/A Physical Abilities • Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job Other Qualifications • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986 • Must be at least 18 years of age • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines • Must be able to work extended hours based on department needs Pay & Benefits: Competitive market salary from $132,200 per year to $146,900 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
