We are now seeking an experienced and visionary Sr Director to join our team and lead our customer and marketing data, applied AI, and analytics efforts. Job Overview The Sr Director, Customer and Marketing Data, Applied AI, and Analytics will serve as a key leader within our organization, responsible for developing and executing our customer and marketing data strategy, applied AI, and analytics roadmap. This role will directly manage the workflow across teams of product, engineering, analytics, and user experience design resources, ensuring alignment and effective collaboration to deliver exceptional results. The successful candidate will own and author business reviews of the team roadmap, manage priorities against capacity, and drive results by inspiring a positive, high-energy, results-oriented culture across the team. Key Responsibilities Develops the long-term vision of a data product portfolio or strategic capability that drives strategies, requirements, and roadmaps, understanding the competitive landscape and directly influencing the enterprise in how it makes portfolio-specific decisions. Owns and leads the customer, loyalty, and marketing data ecosystem, serving the customer and marketing organization with actionable analytics to support delivering top-line sales and productivity improvements. Develops a culture of innovation and experimentation, encouraging two-way door initiatives that address customer needs. Owns annual planning for the product portfolio and represents the team in discussions with executives. Owns the user experience (UX) and sets the direction for the UX design of products within the product portfolio or strategic capability. Defines processes and measurements for the team to effectively track development work and triage bugs of products in the product portfolio. Partners with relevant stakeholders and leads and owns the development of launch and go-to-market plans of products within the product portfolio or strategic capability. Identifies issues and blockers that may delay the launch or impede the success of products in the product portfolio or strategic capability, communicates to leadership, assesses alternatives to resolve, and takes action to resolve. Ensures customer and business goals remain aligned with identified customer needs, sets the strategy for customer engagement, and leads its execution. Engages with internal and external thought leaders to drive product leadership within the portfolio. Leads and owns operational product strategy of the portfolio or strategic capability and ensures alignment with other portfolio owners. Facilitates an understanding among the team of broader organizational goals and the role each team plays, audits team goals, and is accountable for product portfolio performance against broader organizational goals. Leads a team in support of achieving the company's mission, manages performance, and fosters an inclusive environment to help associates achieve their potential. Leverages data and analytics to provide competitive analysis, drive decision-making, assess the health and effectiveness of assigned products and related P&L impacts, and deliver recommendations to key stakeholders. Develops and presents communications, frequently to senior leadership, communicating the desired message, at the appropriate level, for the right recipient. Monitors technology trends and anticipates their impact on the product roadmap, leveraging this understanding to drive innovation. Collaborates with the broader product and technology management community to understand dependencies and create a community of practice. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications: Required Qualifications 12 years of experience in software engineering, data science, and/or product management. 7 years of direct team leadership experience across software engineering, product management, or data science. Prior experience in marketing, customer, and retail media networks analytics, building, deploying, and operationalizing highly scalable, resilient, and critical data technology solutions solving business problems in a product model. Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree). Preferred Qualifications Experience working with software development teams to launch online products. Experience with large-scale order management and inventory systems. Experience with customer relationship management systems. Master's degree in business administration or similar advanced degree.
