This critical role involves providing comprehensive speech-language services to students across various school settings, collaborating with educators, and contributing to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs). Job Summary As a Speech and Language Pathologist - Interim Service Provider at Point Pleasant Resource Center, you will play a vital role in delivering speech-language services to students with diverse needs. This position requires a Master's degree in a relevant field, clinical fellowship or speech-language pathology experience, and a valid Speech and Language Pathologist license issued by the Board of Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers, and Speech-Language Pathologists. You will provide therapy instruction, develop lesson plans, and collaborate with educators to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive speech-language services, including assessment, therapy, and instruction for students with speech-language disabilities in their natural environments. Serve as a member of the school IEP and IFSP teams, collaborating with educators and other service providers to develop and implement student plans. Conduct speech-language assessments, provide progress reports, and assist in the planning and development of student IFSPs/IEPs. Develop and implement lesson plans, instructional materials, and provide individualized and group instruction to meet the needs of each student. Establish and maintain standards of student behavior required to achieve a functional learning atmosphere. Consult and confer regularly with colleagues regarding the educational, social, physical, or emotional goals and objectives of students. Facilitate the implementation of special education and related services in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) and assist in organizing and implementing a continuum of appropriate services. Complete all necessary paperwork for billable medical assistance services and maintain accurate, complete, and correct records. Attend and actively participate in staff/faculty meetings, parent conferences, and IEP/IFSP meetings. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Master's degree in a relevant field of education from a regionally accredited college and university. Clinical Fellowship (CF) and/or Speech-Language Pathology experience. Valid Speech and Language Pathologist license issued by the Board of Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers, and Speech-Language Pathologists. Speech and Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Certification issued by the American Speech-Hearing-Language Association (ASHA). National Provider Identifier (NPI) issued by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES). Driver's License (DL) Class C Non-Commercial issued by Maryland or State of Legal Residence. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with diverse student populations. Strong knowledge of current trends, research, principles, and practices of Speech-Language Pathology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with students, parents, educators, and other service providers. Skills and Competencies Strong assessment and therapy skills. Ability to develop and implement individualized and group instruction. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency with business technology applications, including video/web conferencing and Microsoft Office Suite.
