Special Events Intern
About the position Responsibilities • Support onsite at events and help run virtual events. • Partner with producers and project managers to keep projects moving and organized. • Help estimate budgets, track spending, and reconcile costs. • Sit in on production meetings and capture detailed notes. • Own parts of projects from kickoff to wrap-up. • Keep communication flowing between clients, internal teams, and external vendors. • Track deliverables and ensure projects stay on schedule. • Collaborate with teams like D23 and Walt Disney Archives. Requirements • A love for fast-paced, ever-evolving projects. • Flexibility and creativity when plans change. • Sharp organizational skills and a keen eye for detail. • Collaborative spirit and an eagerness to learn. • Strong communication skills - written, verbal, and everything in between. • Comfort with Microsoft Office tools and online project management software. • Willingness to work the occasional evening or weekend when events call for it. • Previous internship or work experience in event planning, theatre production, theme parks and guest services, convention and expo work.
