Solutions Architecture Lead (Technical Services) - US Remote

We are looking for a Solutions Architecture Lead to grow a new function within our Technical Services Team. In this hands-on role, you will partner closely with cross functional teams to take new products and solutions to market, scope and plan technical engagements with prospects, and support the overall strategy and operations of the Technical Services team. You will use your superb business communication skills, passion for problem solving, and technical expertise in this player-coach role to grow and lead a small, cross functional and global team that will help Degreed’s Client Experience team solve high-complexity and low-precedence challenges for our clients. This position will report to the Senior Director, Technical Services, and will work remotely within the United States. Day In The Life • Client Experience GoToMarket (35%) • Build and lead a small, agile, global and cross functional CX GoToMarket team to partner with our Product, Product Operations, and Revenue Enablement Teams to scale new Degreed products and solutions with clients. • Lead the first implementations of new Degreed products, strategic integrations, and other solutions with clients. Quickly become a subject matter expert on the new product/solution and be able to communicate effectively with client business and technical stakeholders as well as internal teams (product marketing, product, engineering, client experience, strategic technology, product operations and revenue enablement teams) to drive the exploration, research, design, iteration, and scaling of new products and solutions. • Capture learnings and feedback from implementing these new solutions and work with internal teams to iterate until the product/solution has repeatable processes and enablement to enable scale across the global Client Experience team. • Own strategic custom client technical projects that have a high complexity and low precedence at Degreed. • Technical Scoping, Requirements Gathering and Planning (35%) • Design and execute a thorough technical scoping and technical requirements gathering process with prospects. Assist prospects with resource planning, budgeting, and project plan creation. Set expectations that set both the prospect and Degreed’s Client Experience team up for successful engagements. • Partner with Degreed’s Sales and Sales Engineering functions when deep subject matter expertise on Degreed’s Technical Services is required in the sales process • Technical Services Team Enablement and Operations (30%) • Partner with cross functional teams including Revenue Enablement, Product Operations, Revenue Operations, and Product Marketing to ensure Technical Services Documentation is up to date and world-class • Incubate, refine and scale Technical implementation methodologies and processes in partnership with Technical Services leadership team • This description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict other tasks as assigned and is subject to change at any time. Who You Are • 3-5 years experience leading a technical client-facing professional services team or complex technical engagements in a high-growth environment • 3+ years experience consulting with and supporting enterprise-wide technology deployments at Fortune 500 organizations • 3+ years experience solving complex cross-functional challenges and driving outcomes in a high-growth SAAS company • 3+ years designing, implementing and iterating business processes • 5+ years of hands-on technical expertise in data transfer and integration protocols such as API, FTP, ETL, data warehouse & business intelligence tool integrations, and Single Sign On (SAML 2.0) • 3+ years experience establishing a vision and key performance indicators for a team, function or complex cross-functional initiative, then being accountable for the outcomes of those KPIs What Will Set You Apart • Demonstrated ability to empathize with, relate to, and effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders in technical, business, and administrative functions. Work Environment & Physical Demands Degreed is a remote-first company; however, our roles are open to in-office or flex work if you live in a city with a physical office location (when it is safe to return to the office). If this role has the opportunity to operate 100% virtually, it will be from your home office within any state that Degreed is authorized to do business. If this role is based in a Degreed office location, you will have the flexibility to work remotely if needed. As a global business, we primarily collaborate through virtual meetings (Zoom), email, and Slack. You will be required to operate a laptop computer, computer software platforms, and other office productivity machinery as necessary in this role.
