Software Systems Engineer
Description: • Woven by Toyota is enabling Toyota’s once-in-a-century transformation into a mobility company. • Inspired by a legacy of innovating for the benefit of others. • Our mission is to challenge the current state of mobility through human-centric innovation. • Our work centers on four pillars: AD/ADAS, Arene, Woven City, and Cloud & AI. • Together, we’re working toward a world with zero accidents and enhanced well-being for all. • The Woven By Toyota North America Systems Verification & Validation team focuses on AD/ADAS systems that prioritize safety. • The US Systems V&V Team defines system performance criteria and performs verification for deployment to public roads. • The candidate will report to the Systems V&V Manager. • Our team is looking for an SW Systems Engineer knowledgeable of AD/ADAS systems and safety processes. • Translate user requirements into software system requirements and manage technical risk. Requirements: • 3+ years of professional work experience, preferably in system development or a related field • Master’s degree in one of the following fields: mechanical, electrical, computer engineering, or related disciplines • Familiarity with developing systems using remote sensing technology, Artificial Intelligence, or Controls for safety-critical applications • Experience in an automotive production environment • Solid understanding of transforming high-level product requirements into architecture, including requirement decomposition and ensuring end-to-end traceability • Exposure to engineering analysis or trade studies of systems covering perception, electronics, mechanical components, controls, or safety • Experience in verification and validation testing for systems • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams • Experience in requirement derivation, tracking, and verification test processes (V diagram) in automotive applications • Understanding of typical vehicle communication protocols/interfaces • Experience in systems integration, vehicle testing, functional safety, and vehicle launch • Software coding skills (e.g., Matlab, Python, or C/C++) Benefits: • Excellent health, wellness, dental and vision coverage • A rewarding 401k program • Flexible vacation policy • Family planning and care benefits Apply tot his job
