Location Remote, with potential nationwide travel and disaster deployment responsibilities. Relocation to Washington, D.C., may be required. Duties & Responsibilities • Conduct comprehensive analysis of social and economic data to identify trends, patterns, and key insights. • Develop economic forecasts and models to predict future trends and assess potential impacts and vulnerability to hazards. • Provide data-driven recommendations to inform strategic planning and policy development. • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver tailored reports and visualizations. • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented strategies and adjust models as necessary. Required Qualifications • Master’s degree in Economics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field. • A minimum of 5 years of experience in economic analysis, data interpretation, or a related discipline. • Proficiency in statistical software and data analysis tools (e.g., R, Python, SAS, or Stata). • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. Preferred Qualifications • Ph.D. in a relevant field. • Experience in social impact analysis or economic policy research. • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and techniques. • Proven ability to work on cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Experience in public sector, non-profit, or community-focused economic analysis. • Knowledge and experience with Chambers of Commerce financial institutions, lending agencies, non-profit groups, and government agencies. • Understanding of emergency management response and recovery programs.
