Service Technician
SEA.AI develops AI-powered thermal camera systems that enhance safety and situational awareness at sea. They are seeking a motivated Service Technician to support the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of their AI-based maritime camera systems. Responsibilities Install and commission maritime camera systems onboard vessels and coastal installations Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues both on-site and through remote support channels Provide remote technical assistance to customers and service partners Deliver training sessions to service partners and customers, including hands-on system guidance Create and maintain technical documentation, installation guides, and service reports Collaborate with Quality team to report field issues and improve overall system reliability Support the sales team with technical insights, demo preparations, and customer discussions when required Work as an independent self-starter, managing tasks and prioritizing field activities with minimal supervision Travel occasionally for installations, training, and partner support Skills Technical education in electronics, mechatronics, IT, or related fields – or equivalent hands-on experience Basic understanding of hardware, networking, and software troubleshooting Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong customer-facing skills and confidence in explaining technical concepts clearly Ability to work independently and proactively Willingness to travel frequently Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Experience in maritime, industrial, or surveillance systems Familiarity with camera systems, embedded hardware, or Linux-based devices Basic knowledge of networking (IP cameras, switches, routers) Previous experience training customers or service partners Interest in AI-based technologies Benefits Health insurance 20 paid time off (PTO) days per year Opportunity to work with cutting-edge maritime camera and AI technology.
