About the roles We are looking for experienced Development Engineers to join our team and take ownership of key components of our platform stack (Front-End, Middleware, and Back-End). As an early team member, you will collaborate closely with our Chief Architect and the founding team, significantly influencing our company's product, technology, and strategic direction. These roles offer a unique opportunity to shape the foundation of our platform, culture, software development, and quality engineering practices. Successful candidates will have a strong background in building products or microservices, utilizing cloud services, APIs, and AI-development assistance to meet design and business objectives. You will be solving diverse and interesting problems, transforming our vision into reality, while being accountable for the quality, correctness, and resilience of what ships to production. Our Ask of You Startups are dynamic, fluid, and fast-paced. This is not a role for everyone. Work authorization, visas, or permanent residency do not meet this requirement due to the nature of government contract obligations. Role Objectives • Development: Build highly scalable distributed software and microservices that enhance user experiences and drive business growth. Back-end, Front-end, and Full-Stack roles are available. • Feature Development: Develop new features and infrastructure to support emerging business requirements. • Project Leadership: Lead new projects (as needed) from conceptualization to deployment, with testing and quality designed in, not bolted on. • Performance and Quality: Ensure application performance, uptime, and scalability while maintaining high standards for code quality, test coverage aligned to risk, and minimizing technical debt. • Agile Methodologies: Agile Methodologies: Adhere to agile development methodologies and industry best practices, with a strong bias toward production readiness. Key Responsibilities • Development: Participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation,testing, and deployment. • Designing Systems: Design and guide the building of end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale. • Language Proficiency: Use appropriate languages such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, etc. • Collaboration: Engage with UX, front-end, and back-end engineers to create reliable APIs and meaningful validation strategies. • Communication: Collaborate via Slack, GitHub, and videoconferences.
