About the Role As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer on our Media Content team, you'll play a critical role in designing, building, and running a diverse set of services that ingest, transform, and manage all media content across Apple products. You'll work closely with our development teams to ensure that our systems are highly available, fast, and efficient, and that we're delivering a seamless customer experience. Some of the key responsibilities of this role include: Designing and building reliable systems that can handle the demands of our global customer base Collaborating with development teams to ensure that our services are scalable, efficient, and meet our high standards for performance and reliability Developing and implementing automation tools and infrastructure to reduce operational load and improve efficiency Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues that impact our services and customers Working with our teams to transition our services to new Kubernetes microservices and state-of-the-art observability tools and monitoring platforms Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need to have a strong technical background and a passion for building reliable systems. Here are some of the key qualifications and requirements for this role: Minimum Qualifications BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent field with 6+ years of experience, or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent field with 4+ years of experience At least 6 years of experience in a Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure-focused role Advanced experience with programming languages such as Golang, Python, Java, or C++ Deep systems and infrastructure knowledge, with a strong understanding of how to design and build scalable and reliable systems Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex technical issues Preferred Qualifications Passion for designing and building reliable systems, with a strong understanding of microservices architecture and container orchestration with Kubernetes Demonstrated ability to deliver results on time with high quality, and a strong track record of success in a similar role Automation advocate, with a strong belief in removing operational load with software and a willingness to develop and implement new automation tools and infrastructure Experience with deploying, supporting, and monitoring new and existing services, platforms, and application stacks What We Offer At Apple, we're committed to providing our employees with a comprehensive benefits package that includes: A competitive salary, with a base pay range of $175,800 to $312,200, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location Opportunities to become an Apple shareholder through participation in our discretionary employee stock programs Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, and a range of discounted products and free services Reimbursement for certain educational expenses, including tuition, for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple Discretionary bonuses or commission payments, as well as relocation assistance, depending on the role Our Culture and Work Environment At Apple, we're committed to creating a culture and work environment that is inclusive, diverse, and supportive.
