Senior Scientist I, Protein Biochemistry/Enzymology
About the position Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company's R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding Revolutionaries in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway. We are looking for a highly motivated and driven biochemist/enzymologist to join the Discovery Biology team at Revolution Medicines. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of enzyme kinetics, excitement about investigating detailed biochemical mechanisms, and the ability to apply this knowledge to practical, data-driven decisions. The scientist in this position will: Design, develop, and apply biochemical assays to functionally characterize proteins, understand their role in oncology, and enable hit finding and validation efforts. Perform kinetic studies to support a deep understanding of small molecules with complex mechanisms of action, including covalent and non-covalent molecular glue inhibitors and activators. Contribute to early discovery efforts to validate novel oncology targets and therapeutic modalities. Support cross-functional teams to generate novel insights and drive drug discovery and development. Effectively communicate findings to diverse audiences through presentations, reports, and publications.
