Key Responsibilities: Driving Technological Excellence Develop, Maintain, and Support Critical Enterprise Applications: Design, develop, and maintain software applications that meet the evolving needs of Delta's business teams, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and reliable solutions. DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure: Develop and maintain DevOps processes for cloud infrastructure on-premises and in Amazon Web Services (AWS), ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. Mentorship and Code Reviews: Provide code reviews, training, and guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Accurate Estimation and Delivery: Accurately estimate deliverable timelines and ensure timely completion of projects, meeting business requirements and stakeholder expectations. Translating Business Requirements into Functional Code: Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into functional code, leveraging technical expertise and business acumen. Automated Testing and Quality Assurance: Write automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications. Design and Architecture: Create conceptual, logical, and physical designs, and curate OpenAPI specs to drive technical innovation and excellence. Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with leadership, colleagues, and vendors to ensure seamless collaboration and project delivery. Essential Qualifications: The Foundation for Success Hands-on Development Experience: 3+ years of hands-on development experience with AWS (Preferred)/Azure Cloud Technologies, with a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and migration. Design Thinking and TDD: Experience with design thinking, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and embedded security, with a focus on delivering high-quality software applications. Containers, Kubernetes, and DevOps: Experience with Containers, Kubernetes, RedHat OpenShift, Developer Workstation, DevOps, Jenkins, Code Build/Code Pipeline, API Gateways, Lambdas, DynamoDB, Nexus, Gitlab, Spryness, or related technologies. Quality-Focused Development: Strong commitment to quality-forward development practices, with automation at the forefront for continuous quality. Data Security: Experience with implementations involving best practices for data security, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data. Configuration Designs: Strong understanding of configuration designs, with experience in designing and implementing scalable and reliable software applications. JSON, JavaScript/TypeScript, and API: 3+ years of experience using JSON, JavaScript/TypeScript, and API (REST/microservices services), with a strong understanding of API design and implementation. UI Development: 3+ years of hands-on UI development experience using Responsive Design, with proficiency in Bootstrap or Foundation frameworks. Data Handling: Experience with handling data through JSON, with exposure to DynamoDB and MongoDB. Multi-Level Engineering: Knowledge of Multi-level Engineering, with experience in UML/Visio modeling. Testing and Automation: Experience with Cypress, Quip, UML, Mockito, Wire Mock, Unix Scripting, with a focus on automated testing and quality assurance. Agile Team Environment: 3+ years of experience working in an Agile team environment, with a strong understanding of iterative development methodologies. Safety and Security: Consistently prioritizes the safety and security of self, others, and personal data, with a strong commitment to Delta's safety and security policies.
