Senior Compensation Analyst (Remote)

A Brief Overview Participates in the daily review of compensation inquiries and requests. Recommends, develops and implements employee compensation changes. Configures job codes, job families and job functions. Evaluates new job titles and conducts ongoing job analyses and evaluations. Participates in salary surveys and analyzes survey results. Supports the annual compensation benchmarking and planning cycles by compiling data, preparing reports, system configuration, responding to inquiries from leadership, training and troubleshooting, as needed. Participates in special projects, such as: implementation and updates to the Job Description Management software, Market Pricing and Salary Survey software, and the Compensation Administration system, etc. Supports enhancements to current compensation processes; and evaluates new compensation programs. Works in partnership with the rest of the Human Resources team to ensure that base pay and incentive programs are competitive in the market. What you will do • Performs data analytics, modeling, reporting and auditing of job and employee information across the organization. • Reviews and/or prepares job descriptions reflecting job responsibilities, activities, duties, and requirements. • Reviews requests for new or revised job descriptions to determine appropriate market benchmark. • Formulates recommendations regarding development of company salary structure, FLSA exemptions, job revisions, and career path structures. • Prepares, reviews, and submits budget, expenses, and accruals to Accounting and Finance for all compensation programs, as needed. • Prepares special studies and recommendations on subjects such as base pay, short-term incentive, and long-term incentive plans. • Performs activities to develop, implement, and administer compensation policies, programs, and systems. • Participates in compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary information to determine company's competitive position. • Reviews proposed salary adjustments for conformance to established guidelines, policies, and practices. • Recommends compensation actions to improve internal equity and/or market competitiveness based on business needs. • Reviews existing and proposed statutory requirements governing compensation administration and recommends appropriate courses of action. • Participates in the configuration, testing, and implementation of the compensation administration system. • Researches new and updated legislation impacting compensation and benefits administration. • Identifies problems and opportunities in data integrity audits of job and employee information to ensure all HR and compensation data is accurate, complete, and up to date. • Performs analyses to assess how current pay practices are in alignment with the company's pay strategy and philosophy. Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related disciplined Required • Master's Degree MBA in HR Management Preferred • 4-6 years experience with broad base pay including administration of base pay and incentive plans Required • 1-3 years career progressive experience in HR, including direct experience mentoring compensation staff Preferred • Strong knowledge of compensation principles and procedures. • Skill in identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts. • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. • Ability to plan, assign, and review the work of others. • Ability to train others. • Strong analytical and quantitative skills. • Strong project management skills and problem-solving experience. • Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities. • Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills required. Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Match Index, Pivot Tables) are required. • Autonomous, self-directed, detail- and results-oriented individual with a high commitment to quality and accuracy. • Ability to treat sensitive personal and company data with the highest integrity and with strict confidentiality. • Knowledge of related legal standards; such as ERISA, FLSA, and Equal Pay laws. • Strong business acumen and awareness of compensation and market trends. • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) Preferred Compensation We are committed to offering competitive and equitable compensation. The hiring range for this position is generally between $100,000 - $110,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus. Final salaries will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, licenses, certifications, and/or experience.
