Senior Clinical Quality Measure Developer
About the position Responsibilities • Lead in the design, development and testing of electronic clinical quality measures using Clinical Quality Language (CQL), Quality Data Model (QDM) and Fast Healthcare Interoperable Resources (FHIR). • Define user requirements, design measure test plans, and develop testing strategies for digital quality measurement projects. • Lead quality measure development research teams and facilitate meetings with project teams and clients. • Prepare concise technical reports and manuscripts describing research findings for various audiences. • Provide strategic and technical expertise related to digital quality health and clinical informatics to guide business development and research agendas. • Mentor junior staff, sharing problem-solving approaches and providing feedback on their work. • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, representing AIR professionally. Requirements • Bachelor's degree with 7 years of related experience in health or nursing informatics, electronic clinical quality measurement, or electronic health record systems. • Experience in a contract research environment or similar projects. • Proficiency in Fast Health Information Resource (FHIR), Clinical Quality Language (CQL), or Quality Data Model (QDM). • Experience with eCQM tools such as Measure Authoring Tool (MAT), Bonnie, MADiE, and Value Set Authority Center. • Experience in developing and testing electronic clinical quality measures. • Knowledge of clinical workflows in healthcare settings and experience with electronic health records. • Familiarity with Consensus Based Entity (CBE) requirements and rule-making processes.
