Senior Business Systems Analyst (Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) or (Remote)
About the position As a Sr. Business Systems Analyst, supporting Marketing and Distribution, you will serve as the primary liaison between business and IT stakeholders to analyze business needs and manage requirements throughout the entire SDLC. You will ensure user needs are accurately translated into requirements and that technology solutions effectively meet organizational goals. This role collaborates with Enterprise Operations, Web Operations, and Sales Enablement. The ideal candidate is driven by curiosity and has a talent for fostering strong collaboration. Responsibilities • Lead end-to-end system analysis efforts in a cross-functional agile team, supporting the implementation of digital experiences. • Translate business processes, procedures, metadata and test scenarios into functional and technical user stories. • Collaborate with product owners, UX designers, developers, and QA analysts to define acceptance criteria and align with strategic business goals. • Drive backlog grooming and support the Product Owner in maintaining a healthy product backlog. • Serve as the subject matter expert on supported applications, process flows, and system behavior. • Partner with the Quality Management Organization to ensure requirement traceability throughout the project. • Support sprint planning and daily scrums, ensuring the team understands requirements and impact. • Support the IT Solution Owner in gathering and analyzing data for KPIs. • Demonstrate high-level knowledge of the architecture, data, and system dependencies. Requirements • 3+ years of business analysis experience. • Practical experience with agile methodologies. • Working knowledge of API design and integration. • In-depth understanding of application development and/or technical acumen. • Prior experience in implementing responsive web applications a plus. • Life / Annuity insurance experience or financial services experience a plus. • Working knowledge of SQL a plus. • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills - including oral and written communication, relationship building, and collaboration. • Ability to successfully partner with all roles involved in the technical solution. • Self-driven ability to understand, uncover, resolve, and recommend options to solve complex issues. • Experience with requirement management tools such as Jira. • Flexible team player with proven history of delivering successful technology solutions.
