Job Summary As a Senior Analytics Engineer at Walgreens, you will play a critical role in delivering data insights and innovation projects that drive business outcomes. You will work closely with data scientists, business intelligence engineers, and stakeholders to design, develop, and deploy data pipelines, databases, and analytics solutions that meet the needs of our healthcare business. Your expertise in data engineering, analytics, and project management will help us drive data-driven decision-making and improve patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain large-scale data pipelines and databases to support reporting and analytics projects Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data insights and innovation projects that drive business outcomes Develop and implement data quality and data governance standards to ensure data accuracy and integrity Apply data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) best practices to integrate large datasets from various sources Perform data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues and opportunities for improvement Develop and maintain tools for automation of data processing, quality assurance, and data validation Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members and stakeholders Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field At least 2 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or a related field Hands-on experience writing and tuning SQL-based ETL/ELT scripts Experience designing and deploying scalable data architectures using ETL/ELT services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake) Strong verbal and written communication skills with technical teams, stakeholders, and clients Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, Looker) Ability to travel up to 5% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state) Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) or similar certification Knowledge of pharmacy, healthcare, and clinical research concepts Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) Experience with data management and governance frameworks Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Walgreens, we're committed to helping our team members grow and develop their skills.
