Senior AI-Native Portfolio PM Combined Project Management + Product Leadership + Client Partnership Company: Orpical Technology Solutions Inc. Location: Remote Employment Type: Full-Time Reports To: Executive Vice President of Innovation and Operations Compensation: Competitive salary + equity participation in JV projects Snapshot (Important to Read in Full) We're hiring a senior AI-native portfolio PM who owns client engagements end-to-end, from custom software MVPs to website builds, and converts successful deliveries into long-term joint venture partnerships. You will: • Manage a portfolio of concurrent client engagements across custom software development and website projects • Own MVP delivery (typically 12-15 weeks) against well-documented requirements, user stories, and clickable prototypes • Collaborate closely with Senior AI-Native Engineers who own technical execution, while you own product direction, client alignment, and delivery outcomes • Convert successful project deliveries into long-term joint venture partnerships where we trade reduced margins for ongoing equity and profit participation • Use AI tools (Claude, Cursor, Lovable) to accelerate documentation, analysis, and validation, with strong product judgment • Build deep client relationships that generate referrals and expand our venture portfolio This role combines traditional agency project management with product ownership and strategic client partnership. You'll work alongside experienced operators, stay hands-on with clients and product decisions, and be trusted (and compensated) to deliver outcomes that compound into equity. Non-Negotiables (*** Hard Requirements ***) The candidate should meet all of the following to be considered a strong fit for this role: • AI-Native Prototyping Fluency: Demonstrated ability to build production-ready clickable prototypes independently using AI tools (Lovable, Cursor, Claude). Not just "comfort with AI," but actual shipping output that moves projects forward without waiting on engineering. • End-to-End Client Ownership: Proven track record owning the complete client relationship from discovery through delivery through post-launch support. This includes difficult conversations, scope negotiations, and converting satisfied clients into referral sources or expanded engagements. • Technical Validation Capability: Ability to review engineering work against acceptance criteria, identify when deliverables are incomplete or incorrect, and ensure production-readiness. Not routing tickets, but actually validating functionality and catching gaps before clients do. • P&L and Commercial Accountability: Experience managing project profitability, tracking actuals against SOW milestones, and making tradeoff decisions that balance client satisfaction with margin protection. • Multi-Project Portfolio Management: Demonstrated experience managing 4-7 concurrent engagements at varying stages (active MVP sprints, maintenance phases, expansion conversations) while maintaining quality and client relationships across the portfolio. Not single-project-at-a-time PM work. Core Responsibilities Delivery & Execution • Own end-to-end delivery against established requirements. Author user stories, build clickable prototypes, and translate business needs into PRDs, sprint plans, and acceptance criteria. • Run sprint planning, standups, and quality checkpoints. Manage scope to protect MVP boundaries while capturing expansion opportunities. • Coordinate with engineering on APIs, integrations, and architecture. Manage complex projects including CRM integrations and enterprise security compliance. • For website projects: manage full-cycle builds, coordinate with designers and content strategists, oversee SEO and performance optimization. Client Partnership & Growth • Serve as primary relationship owner. Build trust with stakeholders from startup founders to enterprise C-suite. • Convert successful project deliveries into JV partnerships. Own ongoing product roadmap for equity engagements. • Conduct quarterly business reviews. Develop business cases with ROI calculations and strategic recommendations. Technical Validation & AI-Native Development • Validate architecture decisions and technical feasibility. You don't code daily, but you must understand tradeoffs and catch gaps. • Review PRs with engineering, remove blockers, ensure work meets acceptance criteria before clients see it. • Use AI workflows (Claude, Lovable, Cursor) to accelerate PRDs, prototypes, and documentation. Know when AI output ships vs. when it needs human judgment. Design & Operations • Drive design direction in Figma. Prototype and iterate quickly rather than waiting for perfect specs. • Track progress in Linear, build project timelines, manage distributed teams balancing quality, velocity, and budget. Tech Environment Laravel, Vue.js, Inertia.js, Tailwind CSS, MySQL, GitHub, AWS/Azure. WordPress for some projects. AI tools: Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, Copilot. Design in Figma (proficiency required). Linear for project tracking, Slack as operational hub. You don't need to be expert in everything, but you must understand how systems work together and validate work for correctness. Who We're Looking For Required • 8+ years combined experience, including: – 5+ years in product management or technical project management – 3+ years owning client accounts in an agency/consulting environment managing multiple concurrent engagements • Track record leading MVPs and complex projects from concept to launch. Experience writing PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria. • Strong understanding of modern web architectures at a validation level. Proficient in Figma. • Real AI tool experience (not "I tried it once"). Strong executive presence with business case and ROI expertise.
