As the company continues to scale, they are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Senior Accountant to support core accounting operations and ensure financial accuracy across a growing, multi-entity environment. About the Role The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in the day-to-day execution of the accounting function. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. What You’ll Do • Own and manage three primary accounting areas: Prepaid expenses, fixed assets and professional fees • Prepare and post journal entries with a strong focus on accuracy, support, and GAAP compliance • Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations, including: Bank reconciliations across 100+ bank accounts, Fixed asset roll-forwards and reconciliations, Prepaid and accrual reconciliations • Support month-end and year-end close activities across multiple entities • Assist with claims reconciliations and related healthcare accounting processes • Work closely with billing and finance teams to reconcile premium activity, including: Understanding and correctly accounting for revenue vs. non-revenue premiums and supporting accurate revenue recognition in compliance with GAAP • Support AP/AR and payroll-related accounting entries as needed • Maintain strong documentation to support audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting • Ensure strict compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and healthcare regulations • Identify opportunities to improve processes, documentation, and scalability in a high-growth environment • Partner cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies and ensure clean financial reporting ✅ What We’re Looking For • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field • 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience • Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO); Enterprise experience a plus • Experience with billing systems (Veridy a plus, not required) • Background in startups, high-growth companies, brokerage or insurance environments preferred • Highly organized with strong attention to detail • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment Why Join? • Be part of a mission-driven organization transforming healthcare • Work closely with a strong Controller and leadership team • Gain exposure to a complex, multi-entity accounting environment • Clear opportunity for growth and advancement as the company scales Benefits • Full medical benefits for employees and families • Unlimited PTO • 401(k) with matching contributions • Paid parental leave • 10 paid holidays Apply tot his job
