Rooms Revenue Analyst
This is a remote position with the candidate required to reside in the state of Tennessee within a 1.5 hour drive distance of Nashville. Herschend is seeking a Rooms Revenue Analyst to join the team at our newest hospitality venture, Dolly Parton’s SongTeller Hotel, located in the heart of Downtown Nashville. This individual stays ahead of market and demand trends by closely monitoring pricing dynamics, booking patterns, and market intelligence. The Rooms Revenue Analyst supports the Regional Director of Revenue Management in the day-to-day tasks including pricing, data collection and analysis, and distribution channel management. This position is responsible for executing tactical changes for revenue and distribution strategy and communicating key changes with the Front Office, Reservations and Sales Teams. This position will prepare daily, weekly and other routine reports, as well as build and maintain all rates and packages for SongTeller Hotel. Summary of Essential Functions & Responsibilities • Update and validate all required data entry for daily, weekly and period end reports used for monitoring performance against budget, forecast and prior year • Compile market pricing reports and monitor daily for directional changes • Collect, sort, and analyze data from a variety of sources to support revenue and marketing initiatives • Assist Director in preparing short and long-term forecasts • Ensure proactive and accurate maintenance and management of revenue systems including PMS, RMS and booking engine • Build and maintain all rates, packages, and add-ons in revenue programs and software • Execute tactical changes to length-of-stay (LOS) at house level and by room type • Support yield strategy by managing inventory controls on revenue programs and software • Validate rate, inventory, and house level restrictions changes have updated on OTA sites • Maximize revenue potential by monitoring and balancing fragmented room type inventory • Track denials/regrets and ancillary revenue • Troubleshoot systems as needed by opening and maintaining tickets with IT vendors until resolution. • Be knowledgeable of all core and special rates • Build promotions in PMS, Booking Engine and OTAs and track production for Director of Hospitality Marketing • Handle VIP and corporate reservation requests This job description is not an “all-inclusive’ list of the duties and responsibilities of this position or of the skills and abilities required to perform this position. Qualifications • Minimum 18 years of age • High School diploma or equivalent required. College degree in relevant field preferred • High computer proficiency with high-level command of Excel essential with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office • At least one year of hotel front desk experience required • Prior Opera experience and revenue management software preferred • Successful candidates must maintain a consistent home office setup with reliable high-speed internet • Must be self-motivated and disciplined with strong communication and interpersonal skills • Must be able to prioritize and complete work assignments on a timely basis. • Must promote and support a “team” work environment by cooperating and helping co-workers. • Must be able to be productive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. • Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check About Dolly Parton's SongTeller Hotel and Herschend Dolly Parton’s SongTeller Hotel is the newest hospitality venture of Herschend.
